Introduction Arogyavardhini Vati is an ayurvedic formulation used to balance the three doshas (humour), Vata doshaPitta dosha and Kapha doshacollectively called ”Tridoshas. The term Arogyavardhini means ”improver of good health”. It is composed of various herbs and metals. The powdered ingredients are groundvc with neem leaf juice for 2 days to make a paste. This paste is then used to make pills.


Why Arogyavardini vati 

It is an herbal formulation which is useful in all types of diseases. It helps to balance all three doshas i.e. vata, pitta, and Kapha in the body. It is useful in problems related to the heart, stomach, gall bladder, skin, teeth, and gums like thyroid disorders, obesity, psoriasis etc. It acts as a digestive stimulant and improves the function of the digestive system It hs various pharmacological actions like an appetizer, carminative, mild laxative, anti obesity, liver tonic, anti-inflammatory , antipruritics, demulcent, anti-hypertensive, hematogenic (helps in the formation of red blood cells ), mild expectorant etc .


Ingredients 

  • Shudha parada-Shuddha Parada is a medicine that is used for the treatment of Skin infection, Vitiligo, Laxatives, Decreased urine output, Microbial infection on living surfaces and other conditions.
  • Shudha Gandhak - Shuddha Gandhak is very useful in all types of skin diseases. Purified Sulphur is useful in cough, asthma, consumption, general debility, enlargement of the liver and spleen, chronic fevers, etc.
  • Loha bhasma-Loha Bhasma is an iron-rich, complex herbo-metallic preparation of the Ayurvedic system of medicine used to treat anaemia. It helps to increase iron content in blood and aid in better absorption of iron with lesser side effects on the digestive system.
  • Abhrak bhamsa -Abhrak bhasma might lower the risk of hepatitis as it is hepatoprotective (protects the liver) in nature. Abhrak bhasma might control the symptoms of hepatitis like fever, vomiting, and loss of appetite and improve liver function due to its Deepan (appetizer) and Pachan (digestive) properties.
  • Tamra Bhasma -Tamra Bhasma mainly functions on the liver, spleen, intestines, stomach, muscles, and skin. It also stimulates the secretion of bile from the liver and gall bladder and thus increases peristaltic movements, stimulates appetite, and eases the digestion process.
  • Haritaki-Haritaki is extremely valuable for its role in improving hair health. It is useful for treating scalp infections like dandruff, itching and hair fall. As a potent constituent in Triphala, it cleans the hair follicles, gets rid of dirt and impurities and promotes hair growth.
  • Vibhitaki- vibhitaki has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties that help treat scalp and hair infections like dandruff, itching, and folliculitis. It also gives essential nutrients to the hair follicles, improves blood flow, and strengthens the hair from the roots to the tips.
  • Amalaki-Amalaki improves the functioning of the liver, heart, brain, and lungs. Although the efficacy of Amalaki for treating these conditions in particular has not been proven, the fruit has been studied as a treatment for heartburn, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
  • Shilajit -Shilajit contains fulvic acid. The fulvic acid may help stimulate energy production, and blood formation and avert hypoxia. It may also help transport nutrients to tissues and help overcome lethargy, tiredness, and chronic fatigue. Shilajit might be used as a supplement by people travelling to high altitudes.
  • Guggulu-Guggul is praised for its anti-inflammatory properties. Preliminary research suggests it may help treat certain anti-inflammatory conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and arthritis. It has also been used to promote weight loss, treat hypothyroidism, and manage cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
  • Erand-It detoxifies the digestive system helps relieve constipation and ensures regular bowel movement. It also nourishes the hair and promotes hair growth. When applied to the skin, it makes it smooth and removes acne and wrinkles.
  • Kukti-It can be used as an appetizer. Decoction of kutki with honey or kutki powder with sugar is used to treat jaundice in Ayurveda. Kutki is also used to make an ayurvedic formulation named 'arogyavardinivati' to treat liver diseases. In Ayurveda, kutki is used with various herbs to manage viral hepatitis and fatty liver.
  • Neem -Neem preparations are reportedly efficacious against a variety of skin diseases, septic sores, and infected burns. The leaves, applied in the form of poultices or decoctions, are also recommended for boils, ulcers, and eczema. The oil is used for skin diseases such as scrofula, indolent ulcers, and ringworm.
